FAQs
At Fairy Hair Smiles, we care about you and your experience. Whether it's your 1st time or your 99th, we understand the importance of providing valuable information and setting clear expectations. Here's a list of the top questions that we've received about Fairy Hair. If your question is not on this list, please message us and ask away!
How is fairy hair applied?
One strand of fairy hair is matched to a single hair on your head. A knot is tied, attaching the silk hair tinsel to your hair using a special tool. For most hair lengths, 1 strand of fairy hair equals 2 fairy hairs (the exception is very long hair - in that case, the strand cannot be doubled so 1 strand equals 1 fair hair).

How long does fairy hair last?
Each strand of fairy hair is attached to a single strand of your own hair and will last as long as that hair remains in your head. This can range from a week, a month or even several months.
*NOTE: No beads, clips or glue will be used on your hair.

Is fairy hair safe for children?
Absolutely! Children can enjoy fairy hair. However, due to the natural shedding patterns and hair growth process of our youngsters, young children (especially those under 8) may not retain the strands as long as adults. Each person getting fairy hair will receive a few extra fairy hairs just because there will be ones that fall out within the first few days.

Can men get fairy hair?
Yes! Fairy hair is not just for the ladies. Guys deserve to sparkle, too. In fact, kids (8 years and older) and even some pets have been seen with strands of glitter and sparkle in their hair (and fur). We want to give everyone on the planet the opportunity to sparkle, shine and smile with fairy hair!

Can I remove fairy hair if I want to?
Fairy hair strands are designed to stay in place until the natural hair that they are attached to sheds. If you wish to remove them sooner, you can either cut the strand of hair to which it is attached or you can try carefully untying the knot (not recommended).
